Crown is providing support to EIA to collect, analyze, and disseminate independent and impartial energy information to promote sound policymaking, efficient markets, and public understanding of energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment. EIA is the nation’s premier source of energy information, and, by law, its data, analyses, and forecasts are independent of approval by any other officer or employee of the U.S. government.

Crown conducts comprehensive data collection programs that cover the full spectrum of energy sources, end uses, and energy flows. Crown also prepares informative energy analyses, monthly short-term forecasts of energy market trends, and long-term U.S. and international energy outlooks. Crown disseminates the data products, analyses, reports, and services to customers and stakeholders primarily through the EIA.GOV website.

The primary objective is to ensure that EIA acquires the energy industry and technical resources necessary to accomplish its primary mission.

Benefit to EIA: Crown is helping EIA meet its near and long-term strategic goals. These include modernizing data operations, increasing analytical impact, improving customer experience, and enabling the overall EIA mission.
