This Task Order supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Mission Support Services – Strategy Directorate (AJV-S). The focus of the task order is to provide program management, subject matter expertise (SME), and systems engineering to support new entrant integration efforts with focus on ATO equities. Work focuses on developing, tracking, and updating various strategic documents including integration roadmaps, support and analysis for ConOps development, executive FAA leadership communications management, and cross-ATO Service Unit and FAA Lines of Business stakeholder coordination.

Benefit to the FAA:  Since June 2023, Crown has provided the ATO’s Strategy Directorate subject matter expertise, program management, and coordinating stakeholder engagement to execute the ATO UAS Services Plan (now the ATO UAS Integration Portfolio), the ATO UTM Strategic Roadmap, and the AAM Integration Plan.

For AAM/UAS, we completed a Vertiport Assessment Memo to support the Office of Airports (ARP) to assess potential airspace challenges for new vertiports, and multiple Document Change Proposals for FAA Air Traffic Control Orders. The team is currently assessing potential VTOL use of helicopters routes and preparing a draft Advisory Circular or internal process to provide initial airspace reviews for potential vertiport sites.

For UTM, we support AJV-S and ATO engagement on the Near-Term Approval Process assessments, including support for the North Texas UTM Operational Evaluation Key Site project, BVLOS rulemaking, and tracking of UTM Strategic Roadmap activities.
