The mission of the FAA’s UAS Policy Team (AJV-P22) is to ensure integration of UAS new entrants into the NAS by developing appropriate airspace operations and Air Traffic Control (ATC) procedures to support these new operations.
Crown supports the UAS integration of new entrants into the NAS by providing seasoned en-route and terminal ATC subject matter expertise with UAS operations experience.
Development of new policy frequently requires the conduct of an SRM panel, wherein ATC experts analyze the safety risks associated with the proposed operations, the mechanisms proposed to reduce those risks, and the evaluation of the residual risk. Either the SRM panel deems the operation safe, or additional mitigation methods and analysis are requested.
