ARLINGTON, VA – Crown Consulting Inc. has named aerospace and systems engineer Katie Constant-Coup to serve as associate director of aeronautics research.
Constant-Coup joins Crown following an eight-year tenure at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), where she held positions in aircraft certification, operational approvals, research portfolio management, industry standards oversight and rulemaking.
“Katie’s roles at FAA, her engineering background and her leadership in uncrewed aircraft systems integration offer valuable skills and perspective for Crown clients,” said Shahab Hasan, vice president of Crown’s Aerospace & Advanced Transportation team. “Her extensive research experience and technical background will bring fresh insights to our aerospace and advanced air mobility clients, including NASA, the FAA, state departments of transportation, and companies.”
Constant-Coup is a Ph.D. candidate in industrial and systems engineering at Mississippi State University. She holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Kansas.
