Arlington, VA, March 6, 2025 – The FAA has awarded Crown Consulting, Inc. the agency’s $207 million Ontario Engineering Services (OES) support contract in Ontario, Calif. Through the 10-year period of performance, Crown will provide the full spectrum of engineering, acquisition, installation, and logistics services required to safely modernize the FAA’s air-ground communications systems.
Air-ground communications infrastructure is a critical component of the National Airspace System, enabling the core mission of air traffic control (ATC). Crown will provide project management experts, telecommunications engineers and technicians, and equipment fabrication specialists critical to safely modernizing the systems, while maintaining the operational continuity of air traffic services.
FAA’s selection of Crown continues a more than 20-year partnership, during which Crown and FAA engineers set the processes and procedures that remain in place today at the FAA’s Ontario facility. The award reflects Crown’s sustained commitment to aviation safety and innovation as well as FAA’s confidence in Crown’s capacity to meet OES’s ambitious engineering, fabrication, construction, and installation objectives.
“This contract underscores the FAA’s trust in Crown’s ability to assist the agency in modernizing mission critical communications systems that form the backbone for ATC operations,” noted Al Khan, Crown’s President & Chief Executive Officer.
